Jeffrey A. Boettcher, 55, of Augusta, passed away at his home in Augusta, due to a sudden illness.
Jeffrey Allen, son Ronald and Dona (Bethke) Boettcher, was born October 7, 1959. He was raised with his sister and 3 brothers on a farm in the Hay Creek area of rural Augusta. Jeff was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Hay Creek. He attended school in Augusta, graduating from Augusta High School in 1977. Following graduation Jeff had been employed as a cook at the Big Steer Restaurant in Osseo, before taking a construction job with Jack Walter’s Buildings in Augusta. He had also worked for Ashley Furniture in Arcadia. On July 30, 1988, he was united in marriage to Catherine Borzumato in Osseo. The couple moved to Tampa, FL, where he had a position in security for Busch Gardens Theme Park, a job that he truly enjoyed. After his mother passed away in 2005, Jeff returned to Augusta, where he was employed for Pro-Poly Plastic and also worked as a bartender for Mulligans. Jeff loved spending time with family and friends and especially enjoyed spending time with his 2 grandsons and was looking forward to the birth of his granddaughter in August. Jeff also enjoyed 4 wheeling and camping.
He will be dearly missed by his 2 daughters, Ashley Boettcher and Brittany and her husband, Ruly Lopez-Diaz all of Brandon, FL; sister, Deborah and Gordon Bratsven of Lublin; 3 brothers, Mark and Sherry Boettcher and Gregory and Tina Boettcher all of Augusta, Chad and Vicki Boettcher of Elk Mound; nieces and nephews, Robert Bratsven, Heather Boettcher, Christopher (Kristin) Boettcher, Jasmin Boettcher, Austin Boettcher, Taylor Clark, James Green and Danyiel Boettcher; 5 great nephews; and uncle, Ralph Boettcher of Augusta.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Ron on June 20, 2003; and mother, Dona on July 8, 2005.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with Pastor Jonathan Wessel officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta.
