Lynn Davis
Lynn A. Davis, 77, of Fairchild, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. 

Lynn Allen Davis, son of Orlie and Lucille (Slagel) Davis was born August 16, 1937 in Luverne, Minnesota. Lynn was raised and attended school in the Luverne area. In October of 1956 he enlisted in the United States Army and served until October of 1958, where he was stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama. After his honorable discharge he decided to stay in Alabama, where he found employment. He eventually returned to his roots in Minnesota. At this time he had worked at Montgomery Wards, for the city of Worthington and Buysse Motors. He also owned and operated the Stop Inn Tavern in Bigelow, MN, and the Road Runner Lodge in Worthington. In 1980 he moved to Medford, Wisconsin, where he began his career as an alcohol and other drug abuse counselor. In 1986, he moved to Sand Creek, WI, and took a position with the Dunn County Association of A.O.D.A, and held this position until retiring in 2002. Lynn was united in marriage to Kathleen Louise Nau on June 30, 2000 in Worthington. The couple made their home in Fairchild, where Lynn had served as the Village Mayor for two terms. Lynn enjoyed his life in Fairchild and serving as its mayor, unfortunately ill health force him to resign from the position.  

Lynn is survived by 2 sons, Rick Davis of Champlain, MN, Michael and Kathy Davis of Coon Rapids, MN; 4 daughters, Peggy Giberson of Clear Lake, S.D, Lori and Scott Hamilton of St. Paul, MN, Amanda Davis and Rachel Davis both of Humbird; brother, Gene and Mary Ann Davis of Minneapolis; sister, Sandra Robison of Big Stone City, S.D., sisters-in-law, Beverly Davis of Magnolia, MN, Marjorie Davis of Sioux Falls, S.D; several grandchildren and their families.  

Lynn was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen on Sept. 23, 2011, parents and siblings, Dale Davis, Donna Faye Anderson and Keith Davis.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 29, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with services at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
