Jennifer Brixen
Jennifer Ruth (Dunham) Brixen passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 55 years young.

Jenny was born November 3, 1969 to Barb and Russell Dunham. She was the youngest of 6 children. Jenny graduated from Osseo-Fairchild High School with the class of 1988. She then went on to get her teaching degree from UW-Eau Claire. She later went on to receive her master’s degree in Education from UW-LaCrosse.

Jenny first met her beloved husband, Tony, in 1986 when she was a high school cheerleader for Osseo-Fairchild and he was a left tackle for Eleva-Strum High School. The play ended up on the sidelines and Tony knocked Jenny over. He then reached for her hand and gently helped her to her feet. This event sparked an official introduction in February of 1987 where the rest became history. They married in Osseo on December 11, 1993. Later on, they purchased Tony's family farm, and went on to build the life they had dreamed of. Through their love and marriage, they had two children. Their daughter Makayla was born in 1995 and their son Hunter was born in 1999. Tony and Jenny were beyond blessed to be able to build their dream home on the farm in 2007. That’s where they have been ever since.

Jenny created a home that was a home of gathering. It was a hub of family connection, love and laughter. She created a home where anyone could just stop by, sit and visit. Jenny hosted gatherings with love, compassion, care, hospitality, and excellence. Her dedication to create memories, for those she loved, will live as part of her legacy. From Christmas to Sunday family dinners, every detail was done with intention and purpose. She made everything magical for her family. Jenny absolutely lived for her kids and grandkids. She went above and beyond for everyone that she loved and cared for.

Jenny started teaching at her alma mater, Osseo-Fairchild in 1996. She taught special education, 4th and 6th grade. Jenny advocated fiercely for her students and their success. Her family knew what an amazing educator she was. However, hearing stories after stories, from past and current students, has affirmed how remarkable she truly was.

Jenny loved to be around her family and friends. She was the one who wished everyone a happy birthday, checked in after vacations to see how they were, and checked in after a storm to make sure everyone was safe. She was always worried about everyone before herself. Her thoughtfulness towards others is another part of her legacy that she leaves behind. She truly was the glue that held so much and so many people together. She will be missed more than words can express.

Jenny is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 31 years, Tony.
Her pride and joys; daughter Makayla (Andrew) Blattner, and son Hunter (Brooke) Brixen. The lights of her life; her grandchildren Elliette and Kollyns Blattner and Colter Brixen.
