Shauna Dommer
The world lost a beloved young woman, Shauna Dommer, on July 10th, 2024.
Shauna was a mother (soon to be grandmother), daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a vivacious, outgoing, resilient woman with an untamed spirit. She was someone whose presence just brightened the room. She had an internal being that shed light that felt like the sun. Shauna was a loving, nurturing and supportive mother whose children meant the world to her. With this tragic and unexpected loss, she chose to be an organ donor and her life is honored by those whose life will live on.
Shauna Ione Dommer, daughter of Thomas and Karen (Kullman) Harris was born In Eau Claire, WI, on January 29, 1983. She moved with her family while in grade school to Chippewa Falls and there she finished her education graduating from Chippewa Falls High School in 2001.
After high school she did some factory work but most of her employment was in the hospitality field.
Shauna will be dearly missed by her son, Santiago Dommer (Kelsey) of Inver Grove Heights, MN; daughter Madyson Vetterkind of Owen; mother Karen Ludwig of Augusta; father, Thomas (Candice) Harris of Eleva; sister, Chanel (Mitchell Klopp of Woodville; brothers, Nate Harris and Joe Harris both of Chippewa Falls; half brother Andrew (Amanda) Harris of Eau Claire; step sisters and brother, Samantha Omer (Tim), Angela Gillis (Donny), and Christopher Ludwig (Grace); several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Shauna was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Douglas and Rose Marie Kullman; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Ione Harris, Grace Harris; and husband Jerimie Kelling.
A Celebration of Shauna’s Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, at River Prairie Park at 1445 Front Porch Place, Altoona, WI, Pavilion C by the pond.
