Michelle Hatch
Michelle Louise Hatch, age 65, of Augusta, peacefully passed away on Saturday morning, June 22, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones and under the care of hospice. She departed from her cherished lake home overlooking Lake Eau Claire, where she had created many precious memories with her partner, Jon.

Born on September 21, 1958, in Rochester, Minnesota, Michelle was the daughter of William and Helen (Finn) Raatz. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and completed her education at John Marshall High School in Rochester. Michelle moved to Augusta in 1988 with her two daughters after residing for a period in Roseville, California. While in Augusta, she worked with wonderful friends at Nortech Industries and Unity Bank during her time in Augusta.

Michelle found immense joy in lakefront living, tending to her vibrant garden of flowers, observing the diverse wildlife, and pursuing her love for fishing. She cherished the close bond she shared with her sisters and eagerly anticipated their annual gatherings at various special destinations. Above all, Michelle adored being a grandmother and cherished every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Jessica (Suyah) Longwe of Gilbert, AZ, and Kristin (Matt) Wiese of Boyd, WI; grandchildren: Miala and Brienna Longwe, and Bronson and Harper Wiese; sisters: Sandra Hanson of Carrollton, TX, Diana (Franz) Sattler of Harmony, MN, and Susan Burton of Surprise, AZ; her companion and friend of 10 years, Jon Haskett of Augusta, WI; several nieces and nephews.

Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen Raatz; her sister, Carol Reed; brother-in-law, Larry Reed; brother-in-law, Timothy Burton; and a niece.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 10th, from 1pm - 4pm, at Boondocks Bar & Grill in Boyd.
