Ronald Wiese
Ronald P. Wiese, 73, of Augusta, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, December 13, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshhfield. He was comforted knowing his wife and family were by his side.

Ronald Paul Wiese, son of Carl and Viola (Lane) Wiese was born June 7, 1951, in Eau Claire. He was raised with his 4 siblings on a farm in Ludington Township, attended Woodland Valley Country School and graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1969. Ron was baptized, confirmed and a current member at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ludington. His church affiliation had always been an important part of his life and before transferring his membership back to Bethlehem Lutheran he had also been a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fall Creek and Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta. While at St. Paul’s he had served on the church board.

Ron was united in marriage to Linda Erdman on July 26, 1975, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fall Creek. He had always worked on his family farm and after their marriage he and Linda moved to the Erdman farm which they operated until 1992 when they sold and moved to Otter Creek Township. In 1996 the family moved to their present home in Augusta.

After farming Ron had been employed at WestWood and SourceCut both in Osseo, and before retiring he had worked for 5 Star Plastic in Eau Claire.

Since the age of 12, Ron had enjoyed playing dartball. He was a member of the Fall Creek Church Dartball League, having served on its board and also participated with the Thursday Eau Claire Commercial Dartball League. During the summer months he transferred his interest to pitching horseshoes and was an active member with the Augusta and Fall Creek Horseshoe Leagues. He had also been a member of various pool leagues in his earlier years.

Ron’s immediate and large extended family meant the world to him. He looked forward to the many family card games that coincided with family gatherings over the years. He loved being outside, whether it was picking berries, playing with the grandchildren or fishing and hunting,

Ron will be dearly and deeply missed by Linda, his loving wife of 49 years; son, Paul (Korinne) Wiese of Augusta; 3 daughters, LeAnn Wiese (Scott Kaufman) of Augusta, Aimee (Joe) Coy of Calhoun, MO, Candace (Tommy) Schmidt of Cadott; 9 grandchildren, Gavin, Felicity, Sequoia and Mattias Wiese, Kylee Wiese, Hunter and Ivy Coy, Tucker and Brandi Schmidt; brother, Charles (Kathy) Wiese of Eau Claire; 2 sisters, Shirley Mihalko of Pulaski, Arlene (Allan) Grosskopf of Fall Creek; father-in-law, Alvin Erdman of Fall Creek; Linda’s siblings, Michael (Laura) Erdman of Mississippi, Connie Erdman and Vernon Erdman both of Eau Claire, Gene (Wendy) Erdman of Elk Mound; several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.
