With family and friends, Ervin enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing dartball with church leagues, throwing horseshoes, picking berries and playing a friendly card game. His church affiliation was an important part of his life and looked forward to singing the familiar hymns each Sunday and he also enjoyed listening to polka music during chore time.
