Jerry Joseph Eagens, 65, of Fairchild, passed away peacefully at his home in Fairchild in hospice care and also cared for and comforted by his 30 year companion Virginia and her family.
Jerry was born on July 16, 1959, in Upstate New York. He was raised by his mother and step father, Martha (Drechler) and David Webber. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the United States Army.
Most of his adult life Jerry worked for N.S. P. as well as other contractors installing power lines. This work took him to the southern states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, and he especially enjoyed working in Louisiana. He also worked in this position in Wisconsin and eventually settled in Fairchild. After leaving this field of work he did work for Bertrang Construction in Fairchild.
Jerry loved spending time around bodies of water where he could go fishing, surfing and scuba diving. He also loved riding motorcycles and spending time with cycle enthusiasts, as he was a member of the Spokesman Motorcycle Club for over 30 years. For over 30 years Jerry looked forward to camping and spending the weekend at Rock Fest in Cadott.
Jerry will be dearly missed by Virginia Regelin and her mother Nancy Earle both of Fairchild who he made his home with; and their extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Martha and David Webber.
A Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be held Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
Virginia would like to thank Interim Hospice for the assistance they provided during Jerry’s illness.
