Linda Ida
Linda Ida, 77, of formerly of Augusta, passed away at her apartment in Eau Claire on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

Linda Louise Ida, daughter of John and Della (Marten) Sieg, was born June 30, 1947. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta, and also where she was united in marriage to Larry Ida on August 20, 1966.

The couple lived briefly in Kenosha before returning to Augusta where they raised their 3 children. After her youngest daughter was out of grade school she took employment with Bush Brothers Canning Company in Augusta, working there for several years.
Linda was content spending time at home and especially more so in later years. While at home much of her time was spent on crafting projects. These projects varied over the years, which included knitting, crocheting and needle point. She had also gotten into wood burning, plastic canvas crafting and currently enjoyed working on diamond art projects.

If you knew Linda you were well aware what a loyal Milwaukee Brewer and Green Bay Packer fan she was. For many years her family celebrated her June birthday by attending a Brewer game, which she always looked forward to! She also appreciated the time spent with her family and the summer visits with her grandchildren.

After her husband Larry passed away on August 18, 2017, just two days prior to their 51st. wedding anniversary, Linda moved to her apartment in Eau Claire to be nearer to her children.

Linda will be dearly missed by her 3 children, Shela Skarp and James (Tonya) Ida all of Eau Claire, Sharon (William) Weier of Pewaukee; 11 grandchildren, Ashlee Stabile, Garion Skarp (Betty Martinez), Andrew Ida, Evan Ida, A.J. (Ashley) Harriman, Alex Knutson (Hannah Getten), Abrianna Degner, Aurora Gainsborough (Daniel Peters), Sara Weier (Kaylee Benkowski), Anissa Weier, Aden Weier; 6 great grandchildren, Sebastian and Julian Stabile, Hailey and Brooklyn Skarp, Michael and Mason Harriman; sister Diane Polden of Forest Lake, MN; several nieces, nephews and their families, as well as other relatives.

In addition to Larry, Linda was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Della Sieg; brother Dennis Sieg; sister Jean (Richard) Zhe; father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Ruth Ida; and grandson, Christopher Skarp.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with a visitation two hours prior to services beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the spring in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta.
